Which attractions are participating in Accessibility Weekend 2016?

Lots of fantastic attractions have now confirmed their participation in Accessibility Weekend 2016. This year for the first time, venues in Queensland are also participating! Check out all the participating venues here

I'm not based in Melbourne are there any attractions near me?

Attractions in both metro Melbourne and regional Victoria are participating in Accessibility Weekend in 2016. This year, we’re pleased to announce that a number of venues in Queensland are also participating. If you feel that an attraction near you is suitable for inclusion simply forward us a email – we’re always on the lookout for new venues!

Who is eligible to attend attractions during Accessibility Weekend for free?

Accessibility Weekend attractions are FREE for people living with a disability who use a wheelchair or mobility scooter and their carer. Accessibility Weekend is held as part of Spinal Cord Injuries Awareness Week (SCIAW) and aims to highlight the importance of accessibility for people with a disability who use a wheelchair. I require the company of a carer to attend Accessibility Weekend. Does my carer need to pay to enter?

No. Accessibility Weekend attractions will be free to wheelchair users and a carer on September 10-11 2016. Contact the attraction directly if you have any concerns.

How does the competition work?

During Accessibility Weekend take a photo of yourself visiting any participating attraction to be in with a chance of winning a $100 VISA gift card. Please visit the competition page for more information.
