Paddle steamers, people, sport and farming all brought together in the Old Police Station.

Echuca Museum show cases the history of Australia’s paddle boat capital and largest inland port. Photographs and models of the river boats are along side stories of the early business men. From the police lock-up cells to Hopwood’s Iron Pitch Pot and a Chinese water lifter, the range of information and subjects will keep you fascinated.

Accessibility information

There is 4 hour parking in the local streets. Entry is either at the front with a very small step, or at the rear where we have entrance by request. All pathways are sealed. Doorways are wide enough for wheelchairs and scooters. Unfortunately toilet facilities are not suitable for wheelchairs.

Opening hours

Open Saturday and Sunday, 11am until 3pm. Outside of Accessibility Weekend, Echuca Museum is open 7 days a week, 11am until 3pm.
