Take a waddle on the wild side and see wild penguins at the world-famous Penguin Parade, Phillip Island.

See the world’s smallest penguin in its natural habitat from viewing stands and boardwalks. Enjoy interactive and educational displays in the Visitor Centre and the spectacular coastal scenery from the Penguin Parade. This experience is sure to be the highlight of your visit.

Penguins arrive at sunset every evening. It is suggested you arrive one hour before penguin arrival time to explore the Visitor Centre displays.

Accessibility information

Phillip Island Nature Parks are committed to offering an accessible experience throughout the Penguin Parade and have a range of disabled friendly facilities: disabled parking, disabled ramp access through visitor centre and along boardwalks, complimentary buggy if transport to beach required, complimentary wheelchair, disabled access viewing areas, disabled toilets in visitor centre and interpretive displays at wheelchair eye height. Visitors who use assistance animals (certified by a registered authority) are welcome. Assistance animals must remain on designated paths and restrained by a harness or leash.

Opening hours

Open Saturday and Sunday. The Penguin Parade Visitor Centre is open from 10am and the penguins will arrive at approximately 6:15 pm. Click here to view the penguin arrival time calendar.
